Composite Alloy Rods are a unique design of Tungsten Carbide Particles and a specific blend of mild matrix to form a Hardsurfacing Alloy material to be
used in Soft to Mild Applications. These applications consist of Earth Moving Equipment ( Grader Blades, Tooth Shoes, Guide Shoes, Ect. ), Snow Removal Equipment ( Rollover Shoe, Blade Twist, Guide Shoes, Curb Shoes, Ect. ), Oilfield Downhole Tools (
Stabilizers, Fishing Tools, Milling Tools, Ect. ), Farm Industry ( Tractor Cleats, Row Plows, Brush hogs, Ect.).
All applications above should be a light to medium duty application where extreme wear in not a primary concern. Although heavy
impact will not effect this material, extreme wear will be a frequent cause of diminishing the life of the material and/or the part it is protecting.
All Composite Alloys can be applied with Mapp Gas or Oxygen and Acetylene. Preheating the
apparent material is not necessary, but always recommended. Torch and Rod material should be held at 45 Degree angles opposite of each other.
